For every search, we take the time to understand the role, the organisation and what's really needed — while getting to know the experience, motivations and priorities of the people we speak to.
From there, we search thoroughly. We look beyond the obvious, approach people directly and have informed conversations before making an introduction.
We stay close throughout, sharing what we're seeing in the market, communicating openly and adjusting the approach where needed.

The Person Behind Celyn
A career connected to healthcare.
Celyn was founded by Katie Owen, whose career has always been connected to healthcare — first working as a Speech and Language Therapist in London and Singapore, and later in healthcare recruitment in Sydney.
Katie has spent her recruitment career focused on Australian aged care, working her way from a permanent Recruitment Consultant to Division Manager, leading both permanent and labour hire teams. Over that time, she has seen the aged care sector and recruitment market shift and evolve considerably.
Whether as a Recruiter or a Leader, Katie's approach has remained consistent — work hard, build genuine trust and hold yourself to a high standard.
Celyn grew from those foundations — and from a belief that how recruitment is done matters. Relationships are built over time, trust is earned, and a high standard of service matters.
Why Celyn?
Celyn is the Welsh word for holly.
Pronounced KEL-in.
For Katie, the name has a personal meaning — connecting her Welsh roots with her daughter, Holly, born the same year Celyn was founded.
Holly is evergreen and traditionally associated with resilience, strength and longevity — qualities that also reflect the foundations on which Celyn is built.
